Have an ex work colleague who never skimps on tools or their price. He paid well over £120 for his one. We said "He's Mad" but the quality, longevity and distance of the beam is amazing and half the size of the ones we see on Ebay ETC. This again proves that the best price isn't always the best policy, but it depends how frequently this item is put to use and your expectations in quality positional light when using both hands for working. |

I bought one of these off of eBay (search for LED Beanie Hat) for less than a fiver .... a chap at the last Nano meet had one and recommended it. Rechargable via USB and it's really useful under / over the car and also has a flashing light setting if you ride a bike and want to annoy people! Neat design. Take the light out, reverse the hat and you've got a "normal" bobble hat! Something cheap for your Father Christmas list..... Regards John

Fishing tackle shops sell a range of these for night fishing. Or search websites like Angling Direct, Fishing Republic etc.

Thanks I've bought the Screwfix Elwis one mentioned in my post above. Made in Denmark and at 365 lumens it really is the dog's b . . . . s. No more peering into the gloom. Will make life a whole lot easier.

Bought one of these from the “Decathlon” sports shop in Malta last week for under 10 euro. Seems bright enough for me.

My friend bought me a working light from Cosco a few years ago. It is an led,72 leds to be precise. You can have it on full or half the lights on. In both light positions it is excellent for under the car. It was about £25 I believe. It is around 2.5 ft high, and three inches wide. You can either stand it up or lay it down for lower places. You can charge it up and it lasts for hours. Never had it go to dim on me while working on the car.
