Morning all,
Another with wall to wall blue skies . Let's see if I can keep the car score up and the Planter score down today . When I saw the photos of snow foam it reminded me of some washing duties . But hey, it'll still be a car score - and actually I love the whole washing & cleaning routine thingy. . Andy. |

LOL I've never washed cars as much since I got the snow foam stuff Speaking of planters! I was needing some more planters for the bigger plants I need to get out of the greenhouse. I have some timber in the rafters of the garage & a blunt saw so didn't fancy putting my dodgy back & neck out struggling sawing that stuff. (still haven't got around to replacing my circular saw that got ruined by rain water yet. Luckily when I got the Rover out of the garage I spied some UVPC fascia board I'd forgotten about & there was just enough to make a 3'x2'x1' deep planter Much easier to cut through that even with a blunt saw I even had some green aerosol paint for plastic too.

G'day from the king of the late risers. Another bright sunny day - but we've still got that darned cold Easterly wind, so not quite T shirt and shorts yet - unless of course you're Jeff

Based on a suggestion from Jeff, I've bought a set (3) of extension tubes to try my hand at macro without spending a lot on a dedicated lens. First results are OK - but I think I'll have to dig my tripod out as it's proving difficult to avoid camera shake. I'm sure that's me rather than the technology The photos I posted up yesterday were taking using a 18 - 200 zoom lens with autofocus on.

I remember in school woodwork class having to hand a three legged stool to the teacher for appraisal in front of the class. He held it up, shook it slightly - and two of the three legs fell out. He asked "and what are we going to do about these joints Thrower?" My reply of "knock some nails in Sir?" was NOT well received (although it did get a round of applause from my class mates). Since then I've stuck to mechanicals rather than woodwork - apart from the roughest form - you know, fence panels and the like
