Morning all, A mix of sunshine & clouds here & staying dry.
Great news on the ultrasound scan Phil.

Boris is looking very laid back & comfy Jeff

I shall be tackling the big laurel bush with the electric trimmers & bow saw as it's getting way to tall & spreading into next doors garden, I don't want it to get out of hand & get too hard to maintain.

Thank you Jeff and Ian for your kind thoughts.

It’s a good idea Ian to keep those bushes pruned and under control, I find when the time is ripe a pruned bush blooms much stronger.

For our first night in the UK, we stayed in a Hilton Hotel for a treat. Today they sent me a questionnaire and review which I completed. Here is a copy and paste from my review which hopefully will improve their service.

“At check-in, another customer with children was complaining about everything to the duty manager who was on his own, so we had a long wait until he was free to deal with us and when he did, he kept on breaking stinky wind. I had to tell him to go get himself a toilet break. There were a lot of children running up and down the corridors, so check-in was chaotic and stinky from the duty manager ripping off stinky’s. I was disappointed there were no sandwiches on offer for room service or for the bar snack service. We settled for sharing one burger between the 2 of us at £18, which was expensive. Whilst we there, a wedding party was going on and the doors leading from the bar into the garden were open which allowed the pungent smell of tobacco from the smokers smoking in the garden to waft in. from which the smell made me feel sick and want to throw up. Breakfast - Once we got it, it was okay but queuing up was like being back at school. The poor staff were rushed off their feet. On the plus side, the bedroom was ultra clean and the bed linen was of premium quality. I liked the instant hot water from the shower which had a strong flow. I saw a dog coming from one of the rooms in the hotel but there were no signs of dog hairs in the bed which was pleasing.”

There is a lot to be said about home comforts

Blimey! Phil I would have thought that the Hilton hotels standards would have been far above that.

I took the old window frames & glass panes to the tip myself that the window guys left I was tired of stepping over them on the decking.

They're not coming to seal under one of the windows & replace the broken hinge until next Thursday now so my missus gave them another rollicking on the phone this morning

The laurel bush & other shrubs/trees in the front garden have had a short back & sides & there's a ton of green waste from them, The green waste bin is already full. The rear garden fence line trees will have to be done another day, I'm cream crackered & going to have a long soak in a hot bath shortly.

And now for something completely different for tea tonight . Old el Peso Nacho kit with cheese, salsa, avocado, sour cream, fresh Coriander & tomato toppings .
It's very nice & not too spicy.

Cool

Evening everyone.

Been a hectic day getting Banana ready for Sunday. The front grill was looking faded, so I hand painted it with a pot of Humbrol Matt black using a modellers brush.
Used cotton buds, lots of them, to clean the plastic rails on the roof.
All the door jambs cleaned.
Under the bonnet washed and waxed where I could reach.
Interior cleaned.
Alloy wheels washed then polished with resin polish.

Just need to wash n wax the outside.

Having a Henry’s to cool off.

Morning peeps,

A cloudy but dry start to the day here.
Not very warm still at 9c but hopefully will warm up a little later.

Colchester bound for work today.
Enjoy the day whatever you are doing

A proper bit of 'detailing' going on there Bob
