I do like the idea of the blind and mirror, are they hard to get?
I see that a 1.8 from a previous post cant have cruise, that is a shock. Massive failing by Rover that one
Self dimming mirror and blind, ask mickboy a tradeer here. The mirror should be easy to get the blind perhaps not so.

Make sure the car is not pressurising as your header tank shows signs of antifreeze being Forced out of the cap. Lovely car don’t want to pee on your fireworks but just an observation.

Wonder if its overfilling - loads of garages fill coolant to the top of the tank fins when it should be a few mils off the bottom of the fins on the min and max marks - and of course this causes coolant to force the cap.

RE, The handbrake problem mentioned in an earlier post. There is a way to make the handbrake do what it's supposed to do without stretching the cables or needing the compensator.
I use the method and can lock both back wheels if I apply my handbrake just before I stop.---

Info in the forum.

Good looking car, I have the same colour but the V6 2.O and have enjoyed it. Hope you get many happy hours motoring.

Thanks all for the comments much appreciated

The pipe to the t piece had frayed and the prev owner had chopped frayed bit off and re fitted then topped it up

My plan is to get a new hose and fit and do a complete coolant change for which is best?
