It was the BBC report that I saw Dave. I'm not a doctor (!) but think we might naturally assume that an anaphylactoid reaction just might result in the odd anaphylaxis!

Even so, for it to be known to have such allergies that would require adrenaline treatment if brought on, it would surely give rise to questions about the vaccination's suitability for those individuals, or at least suggest some treatment in advance. It can only be assumed, but the pre-existing conditions must have been ignored.

I speak from personal interest. If treatment is given without regard to allergies, serious consequences can ensue. After a specialist ridiculed us in an open waiting room with other patients listening, I still get furious when I think about that, he gave more thought to my definite NO and withdrew. Unfortunately, it colours all my thinking from that day on.

I for one wasn’t aware you were acquainted with any journalists Clive. Certainly not with the one that reported on the latest blunder! Unless we personally knew the individual concerned some might consider it reasonable not to call them idiots. Or any other derogatory terms, let alone allude to there being a large group of them lying in wait.

The circumstances speak for themselves and, as reported, are considerably more accurate than the data used as scary hyperbole which has now been seen to be wrong, both in levels and context.

On the ‘idiot’ table of elements can we assume the members of PHE are also just as idiotic? Or maybe something more than a merely prejudicial group insult. Incidentally, it was an insult with direct association to references about mental health.

What insult would you apply to those whose deliberate presentation of so-called facts that were intended to mislead. Care to call out PHE as idiots? Is there really any need to lower the tone?

We take risk's with our lives every day, the smokers and drinkers among us apparently more so than others and over our lifetime we (the great British public) face the risk of 1 in 240 of dying in a road accident yet we happily jump behind the wheel day after day and most never give it a thought.
There are risk's involved with ANY type of medical treatment but my view is if getting vaccinated means life can return to something like normal then bring it on.. I'll be in the queue ASAP.

Out of the blue a letter came today inviting me to take part in a study by Imperial College London and Ipsos MORI. The study is being conducted on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care and apparently I have been chosen at random. The aim of the study is to help monitor levels of Covid-19 and it involves the submission of a test for the virus and completion of an online survey. A DIY test kit will be sent to participants to test themselves in their own home and participants will be informed of the result of their own test. Interestingly the letter states that the test may only show a current infection and that it does not show a past infection. I'm not aware that I have ever been infected by the virus and it would seem that I won't find out with the test being offered unless any infection is current at the time of testing, which should be early January 2021 when the test kits are due to be sent out. Anyone else received one of these invitations?

Doesn't seem to be much of a promise.

If he promised 1m EVERY day does he realise how long it would take to vaccinate the whole of the American population ??
