My Perfect Rover 75
I have only just discovered the delights of this marque with a low mileage ZT-T KV6 auto. It is almost perfect apart from the fuel consumption.
Does my perfect 75/ZT exist? It must be/have 1/ Tourer 2/ Auto 3/ CDTi 4/ Cruise Control 5/ FULL leather 6/ Glass sunroof 7/ Full Service history 8/ Very good bodywork with no rust 1-8 are non negotiable, some of the following are (but not many) 9/ low mileage 10/ One owner from new 11/ Garaged 12/ Apex alloys 13/ Electric seats 14/ High line sat nav 16/ Roof rails 17 ZT-T over the 75 18/ Re-mapped to at least 160 19/ Never towed a caravan (horrible things) nothing against caravan owners 20/ washed and polished every week Is it out there? If so I would buy it tomorrow. I think it does not exist, so plan B is to convert my KV6 to LPG. Has anyone done this? I think it is about £1,200 to convert. At 10,000 miles per year I reckon my payback is only about about 2 years and as I would be keeping my perfect car for at least another 8 years it would be money in the bank. Would love to hear from people with their scores out of 20 Happy Rovering Simon |

Don't do it Simon. Keep your ZT-T original. The KV6 auto will return 30+ mpg on long journeys which is what it was built for. What's wrong with that? Anyway, fuel consumption isn't the major expense running a car. Think of VED, insurance and servicing. A few mpg here and there is not worth worrying about. Simon

Mpg
you are right about good MPG on a run, I got about 36 on a run recently but that was cruising at 65-70 with cruise control on.
It’s the running about town that kills it. The fuel gauge seems to go down as I watch it in slow traffic The KV6 is sweet ‘tho. |

I have a ZT V6 180 auto which had an LPG system fitted when I bought it, so I avoided the heavy upfront conversion cost. Only you can decide if that is worth it for you, but I can confirm it gives you KV6 smoothness and power for diesel money.

Lpg
Tracker, do you find the tank a real pain. I would love to loose the spare wheel and have it there.
