It's all mostly daft and pure vanity in the majority of cases - some of these figures being quoted are unbelievable!
I got R100OVE for £2 200 8 years back (also included was a then one owner almost immaculate 116K Contemporary SE Hi-line V6 Mk2) |

I have my initials ***2L, the 2L refers to the fact my surname has 2 LLs in it.

My steam locomotive is named WHISTON and three years ago WH15TON came up for auction sale by DVLA and went for around £26k from memory - i was there with my rather low limit of £2000 and hence never got a bid in.
However, being curious, that night I looked on the DVLA website and found that WH16TON was available for £1300 and bought it on the spot. When I eventually send my daily car 05 ZT to the scapyard it will go on the replacement car - possibly a 2017 Vauxhall Insignia which I quite like. |
