I'll put a vote in for yes

Since replacing mine, I've noticed a couple of times that I get a bit of tyre screech when cornering heavily.
Answered your own question there !
Basically you have done a front end overhaul, I would advise tracking check

But how do I get the arm into the new bush? I've got it greased up but can't get the nose far enough in

Have you used red rubber grease, use a strap or put the bush into a vice and push the arm home to the mark where the original was, hopefully you marked this with a marker pen.

It's a new bush and arm. I've pressed it so it looks the same as the old one...

You may have to dress up the lips on corners of the arm a bit as some of the arms are a bit roughly manufactured
I have encountered this before

Passed but I'm out of time for a retest. I didn't realise Saturdays count because the garage said they could do the arm for me and retest on Friday. Nevermind - another £30 but she's passed and after the horrendous time I've had changing it I feel like I've conquered Everest! Thanks to everyone who offered advice and moral support lol! Not sure how people are getting that subframe bush on - I used the press I bought a few years ago for doing wheelbearings - couldn't have got it on with brute strength. Thanks anyway - job's a guddin!
