I suppose it was not clear. In my last post, I was not talking about the intercooler to metal pipe that goes around the engine (as per your pictures), but the small 90 degree pipe at the very end of the metal pipe that joins directly to the turbo. That reduces from 51mm down to 34mm or whatever size.

Andrew is referring to the intercooler turbo hose in the pics here below, the one that is attached to the turbo at the rear of the engine, this also needs to be inspected at least once a year maybe when changing the oil Arctic.

I Peter.
I can not remember the length of hand, as most of them I did and the alloy tube was of differing lengths and from different cars I cut them to suit, so it is best to measure twice cut once, even cut a bit longer if you have to, and then remove a little more if need be Arctic.

Shawn, just to review the sizes of both solutions,
From turbo to intercooler
-2*silicone 90º 51mm
1*steel connection with 51mm and 5''
From intercooler to EGR
-silicone redution from 57mm-51mm
-silicone 90º 51mm
-silicone 45º 51mm
2*steel connection with 51mm and 5''(i don't have sensor in this hose)

Is this right?

Hi Pedro.
Shawn will not answer you as he was banned from the forum, therefore if you go down his route you will have to go with the sizes he already stated

Thks Artic,

Do you know any better way of having silicone hose for our cars?
I've hear that Jules sells for one piece for £59, there's something cheaper?

Thks

Pedro

Alloy boost pipes always look good but what are the costs of them? I ask as the silicon replacement pipes only cost £45 new for the early NON sensor in pipe type and £55 for the for the type shown above.

If you look at post #40 in this thread I used a bmw 5 series e60 e61 3.0td cooler pipe. It is still fitted to my Tourer. I fitted it in July 2014 and I have not had any trouble with it and my Tourer is my daily car I us most days. So I think and Thanks to Arctic it is a good mod to do and worth doing.

Thanks Steve for all you do and to help us all.
