It seems the hunt for a new home is over. Earlier today we exchanged contracts to buy and complete tomorrow, taking it to the wire.

We have driven over 2,000 miles looking at houses or revisiting the same one. We have looked at over 3,000 houses on the internet
We put offers in on 5, one was accepted ten sold to someone else, one was outdone by a higher bid, another to a cash buyer, one we pulled out of as it would have taken a year of our lives to renovate and extend and then this one.
We have had a few sleepless nights

It is not perfect but ticks most of the boxes, we have to spend some money on maintenance but this has been taken into account at the final price.

I'd like to thank Boris for the stamp duty saving but point out I still may not vote for him.
