Difference in fuel filters?
Is there any particular brand of diesel fuel filter to get? I realised today that the filter has been on there for nearly 100,000 miles, as twice when ordering servicing sets from 2 different sources, they've supplied an incorrect filter. Unfortunately both times the kits had been bought so far in advance of using them, it was too late to send back and query it. So now I'm looking on ECP, and they have 3 different brands, Crosland, Bosch, and Mann. Prices vary a lot depending on which you buy, the Crosland being £2.14, Bosch is £9.62, and the Mann filter at £22.27!
Will the Crosland do the same/good enough job for a couple of quid, or is the Mann worth the extra? Or would the Bosch, priced in the middle, be a happy medium? Thanks |

Thanks both, I’ll got for the one you linked Arctic, saves me having to stand around in ECP waiting for them to actually serve someone!

Sorry for bumping this thread, but I want to thank everyone for sharing your experience! I never chose fuel filters for my cars as my brother is a mechanic and he always did this work for me, but he is abroad now, so I need to make the choice by myself. It also so happened that I'm currently working with the guys from https://www.topessaywriting.org/samples/illness and writing an article about the safety precautions. From what I've already figured out, one of the key things that matter when choosing a fuel filter is the size. The correct size fuel filter facilitates the two-step filtration approach. This protects both the engine and the fuel pump.
