Everyone wants too much money and then they don't last that long. My solution was to stick it back in.

Me too. Be careful what you use. Many adhesives don't do the job and you end up with a sticky mess on the shelf. I used Araldite, some months ago, and it seems OK.
I made a bracket out of a plastic 'L' joint left over from an Ikea jobbie, glued it to the thick end of the light casing first, then when properly stuck, to the upper edge/roof (under the headlining. You can't see the bracket for the headlining and all seems well. It's part of a bigger and rather splendid modification which is secret at the moment but to be revealed soon.

if you have the plastic prongs which are te bits that normally break off, glue them back in place. Once done reinforce the join at the sides with Araldite Rapid. this seems to have worked on mine

OK thanks for the views and advice.
It seems glue is the only way to go to save forking out a decent amount on a new one. The problem was they couldn't find a new one in beige anyway. Thanks |
