Default Pierburg UBFP

Fitted another UBP recently once again using a good known used and tested Pierburg pump, runs nice a quite and pumps out a good steady flow.

The Pierburg pump can still be purchased new from various places not cheap but as the saying goes by cheap buy twice.

Make double sure before ordering that they are Pierburg if you decide to purchase a new one.

The hose clip of the type with a small bolt and a captive nut like this one....

Is a fuel pipe clip 7mm to 9mm the actual size used for the UBFP ? Thanks.

7mm -9mm is ok i would go with 8mm -10mm don't forget you can re-use the original spring clips.

Thumbs up Thank you

Thank you for this great "How To".
Once again with the help of this forum I've been able to fix my car myself and keep it going without the huge garage bills quoted.

Hi Richard.
Excellent nice to hear it helped you save a little bit of money and at the same time give you chance to work on your own car, knowing that the job as been done as you would like.

Another thanks for this fine write-up. Our newly-acquired 75 has a bottle of wasps under the bonnet, traced last night to this pump, so I'll be referring to this guide while getting covered in diesel.

Many thanks.
