Default Another year's Rovering

Hi all,

Over the moon this morning to pass the MOT (my first 75 MOT since acquiring the car back in September). Just three little advisories that won't take much to fix.

As ridiculous as it sounds I am feeling a bit emotional over the pass . I started learning to work on my own cars around 1.5 years ago and enjoy it but I hadn't quite planned on doing just as much work as the Rover has demanded of me. At times it's been rewarding and frustrating too and other times I've wanted to give up. Lots of sweat, even a bit of blood but no tears...only because I was raised in a very stiff upper lip Scottish family!

Love the car though so keep going. Special thank you to people on the forum who have helped with all their knowledge of these cars. Advice, guides and information being readily available has been an enormous help.

Cheers,
Andrew

Makes it all worth it when you get another years motoring

Just put my tourer through the 6th MOT in my ownership this morning having fitted new front disc's , pads and drivers side lower arm .
I carried out a timing belt service and coolant change last week ,now looking for t another 4 years out the car . Not bad for a car I paid £900 for !

Look after the car and it'll look after you... Most of the time. A great feeling of satisfaction for sure.

On a sunny day, even better. Hit the road with your new licence to enjoy and stick on your favourite celebration song. For me it was ELO's version of Roll Over Beethoven. Ears still ringing

A pass makes all the work worthwhile and gives peace of mind in troubled times. Enjoy in good health.😉🤗
