you wouldn't say that if you had a £2500 monogram paint job and couldn't get touch up paint for it ..

IMHO, car bras are in the same class as seat covers over expensive seats - you are covering the good stuff with rubbish stuff for the sake of the person who buys the car off you, who probably won't care anyway!
I say enjoy the good stuff yourself

But what damage does the CarBra itself do to the paintwork? Get a bit of crud inside it and it will wear away for ages. If you leave it on indefinitely there could also be colour mismatch, maybe? Apart from IMHO looking as if you're ashamed of the car.
No thanks, I'll stick with the stonechips - no, I haven't got the exotic paintjob, just standard M'stone green.

I've noticed a fair few PT Cruisers with a carbra on. I just don't see the point.
