BBC - Martin Bashir, Princess Diana interview.
Anyone else reading what Earl Spencer, Diana’s brother, is revealing about what the BBC journalist got up to to secure “that” interview with Diana?
If it’s true that Bashir made up false bank statements to “prove” to Diana that some on her staff were being paid by third parties to undermine her then both Bashir and the BBC had best prepare for a significant legal fallout. This mornings headlines shows that whilst the BBC has said that Bashir is not available as he has had recent heart surgery and has also contracted Covid19, he was seen and pictured last night walking out to pick up an Indian Takeaway. |

I know some don't like Diana but I wish they would leave her alone. If these headlines are true then I do think there is a case for a police investigation.
It would seem from what I just read that the journalist and designer have acted inappropriately. Why keep quiet for so long? macafee2 |

Anyone who believes Burrell is asking for all they get. Rarely has there been such an opportunist basking in reflected glory. His activities since those dreadful times, being outside the immediate security interests, are sufficient evidence of his motives. The whole affair reeks of gross breaches of confidentiality and points to false claims of loyalty.
In the interests of balance there should be an attendant enquiry into attitudes towards heredity and preferred lines of possible recognition of progeny insofar as Succession goes. The second act follows tonight when the legality of what conspirators got up to might, or might not, be revealed and what might be done in the name of the law. Don't hold your breath on sanctions against the BBC though, they seem untouchable. All those in positions of responsibility at the time are now, conveniently, either gone or safe.

If you have a genuine beef about something, start the legal action soon after the event, or shut up. Delay shows an otherwise evil intent.
