18 years 1 owner 75 Club CDT: 136000 miles
Yes that's me , but I'm not selling. MOT and service next week at a new service station Retro Sports Cars in Brighouse near Balliff Bridge. Apparently the owner used to work at the main Rover dealer in Cleckheaton, so I am expecting good things.

I too, was fortunate to get a one owner CDTI a couple of years ago, if yours is as good as mine has been, and it sounds as if it will be, it's miles and smiles all the way !!

Good luck with the MOT. I've driven mine from new and it is now 20 years old.
Just got another year's ticket on it and I had to do a fair amount of work this time round - it was 18 months since the last MOT though. |

I bought a one owner car about 14 years ago and it's been the best and least trouble car I've ever owned.

Hi Dave
Good to hear from you. Hope you are all doing well! Funny old year this! Don't think I've managed to c lock up 2000 miles - we did over 1200 miles last year travelling to Holland. Spent a lot on the car last year, but touch wood not much this year. Suppose its the way it goes! Annoying windscreen washers at the moment. I've gone through everything on the system and all is clear, but there's a 30 second delay after activating the switch to when the water appears on the screen. It's better than a little squirt that hardly reached the windscreen. I'll go back to Arctic and see what he thinks! My 75 goes somewhere new and recommended by a club member next week, Hoping its a good experience. Rob |

Glad you are ok. Same here with regards to miles, or lack of them. The diesel is on sorn since June, as I bought my son’s KV6 Connie SE, and am using that now. Can not wait for a nice long drive.I hope things go differently next year with this virus.Holland seems years away now, but we might be going next year if everything turns out ok. Have you checked the washer bottle pump for rubbish stuck in it? Keep on trucking Rob.

I too also have a one owner from new, The Black Pearl, This belonged to Windrush who bought her straight from the Factory with all the goodies, it cost him over £30.000 pounds, she was born on the 17th December 2004 so will be sixteen years old this year. at the moment mileage stands at 36756, all her MOT,s have had no fails other than a couple of advisories on two occasions hopefully when I put her in on the 17th December it will be another clean pass. I also managed to purchase a 1 owner 2.0 Cdti out of Colliers Wood, London last year. Amazing car. Finished in British Racing Green HFF and Deep Sea Green. A true magic carpet. Have a juke at my photo's.

Here's a thought for you long term Rover owners in these troubling times.---
The fear of travel is really bad, You'll end up twitching or even mad. To give it up would be a dream, But then you wake and start to scream. Another day, a day in hell, You'd risk the train but what a smell. Those unwashed bodies you surround, another thing, that awful sound. People coughing, sneezing germs, you'll never, ever come to terms. Public transport will take you far, but you'd much rather go by car. Your private, quiet, lovely space, The grin starts creeping 'cross your face. You snuggle down, you spin the wheel, you rocket off, your tyres squeal. This affair will never be over because you simply Love your Rover. A nonny mouse.---- It's me, really.---Lol. |
