Rear Tourer Heavy Duty Springs.
Hi. Does anyone know where I can get a pair of heavy duty springs for a MGZT Tourer. So many suppliers seem to do away with the colour codes now. Just spoken to someone at a reputable supplier who only stock a "hybrid" rear spring that suitable for saloon and tourer. My tourer sits low at the rear as its on comfort springs, but I load it up for work so it's even lower .

Springs
I bought a pair of "Heavy Duty" Springs from a company in I think it was Darlaston/Black country Area, West Midlands, For the life of me I cant remember the name, But they are a Rover dealers for spares, The Springs were of a thicker Dia and stiffer than standard, They have worked well on my Tourer for a number of years now. Maybe some one on here will know the name of the company

I'm sure KYB have some for both saloon and tourer. I recently had fitted rj6363 on a saloon.
Try rj6364 for tourer These are for r75 so might not be suitable for mg. Last edited by peelaaa; 29th June 2021 at 19:18.. |

Sachs do an heavy duty spring for the 75 tourer , these by nature would give you a higher ride height as designed for the Rover rather than the MG ZT -T
Fitted a pair to my tourer with saggy rear suspension , Made a world of difference to the ride and handling ( Basically sports suspension but not lowered) I purchased from car parts for less |

i put heavy duty rear rear springs on my 75 saloon. not too strange then when you consider that i have stuff in the boot plus spare wheel plus full tank petrol and 77 litres of LPG and a very heavy lpg metal fuel tank !! i bought mine from best of british rover spares. i think they were in that area. you could give them a call as they are on the bay and online shop .do a search .. nothing lost.
