If they don't mention it then it might go away.

I would think, after reading today’s news, that restrictions will be applied within the next month or so. IMO, mild restrictions could be applied now, those that don’t stop people from working, rather than waiting too long as has happened in the past. I fear we will all be exposed to this virus eventually.

It was a nice day today.

Just wanted to post something a little more positive, even if it is as obvious as your post.

We can all put our heads in the sand, for the moment. Two hundred deaths in one day is horrendous.

Those that say this is just like a bad flue year have no idea. 50k deaths a year if these figures continue.

On a positive side the majority of the deaths seem to be people who have not been vaccinated at the moment with some exceptions. If it starts getting vaccinated people we do have a problem.

We have got to keep on top of this virus and as long we dont get any more highly contagious strains hopefully we can at least keep our lives vaguely normal.

OK you win.

We are all going to die. All hope is lost.

Now the world has gone to bed,
Darkness won't engulf my head,
I can see by infra-red,
How I hate the night,
Now I lay me down to sleep,
Try to count electric sheep,
Sweet dream wishes you can keep,
How I hate the night.

THIS!

If there can be a positive slant on it, this is what we should be looking at. Not 'we are all going to die'

I’m not suggesting we are all going to die! I’m saying we should be continuing with some restrictions that don’t adversely impact the economy. We should be mindful that we should not react too late, as has already happened with this pandemic, to a rapidly changing situation. We will face another severe test this winter.

There's a percentage of people for whom the vaccines don't work and that's not a worry for me, the worry is for government when it comes to the figures. It matters not how many die that haven't had the vaccine, it's not some sort of I told you so game as your statement seems to imply. The facts are simple, we can all get the virus no matter what your status and it will kill many that have been jabbed as well as those without, the protection wanes as is being seen and should be a source of real fear for those who got the jab, how long will your protection last? If you're lucky, you'll get the virus whilst under the protection and not be really ill but, everyone will eventually get the virus in some form or other. I believe the strains are all out there now as the virus has travelled the globe, there would have been more by now I reckon in the normal scheme of things. The one thing I'm certain of is that the virus will fade away quite quickly, it's more or less on the run now.

You are suggesting that we are all going to die more than offering solutions.

Maybe instead of posting what looks like depressing tabloid headlines, you could contact your mp for answers, lobbying him or her with suggestions to a problem that we are all only too well aware of.

Perhaps run for election?

Or are you simply complaining that our ELECTED representatives are not doing enough to settle your mind, so that you can get away for your holiday?
