Dear Smudge, thanks for the info. I gave up with the head in the dash, as it seemed so simple from the instructions, but did not move. I did not then go as far as trying to remove the CD.

Sorry for the late reply, my wife ha had me doing other things...

For couriers try https://www.Parcel2go.com
If the parcel isn't too large the InPost locker drop-off service is very competitively priced and efficient too.

Otherwise, a drive from Cambridgeshire to the outskirts of Blackpool on a sunny summer's day would be rather nice, don't you think?

Thanks for trying to help. I have replied to Stewart now, although it must be said my reply was very late. I have other things going on, so did not check often when there appeared to be so very little interest.

Stewart already has some units, and I think he thought wrongly that the corrosion was on the units, not the wiring harness.

I thought I had made it clear that it was the harness connectors that were corroded, but obviously not.

The units, from memory, seemed not to have a problem when I looked at them, while the harness had the water ingress as you describe, that has rotted the wire/pin junctions.

So while my harness is toast, the units seem ok, which is why I wanted them to go to good home.

However, this saga has now been running since 2018/19, involving an owner who said he wanted them, but did not arrive to pick them up, with a house move in between.

As the units have been tripping me up in the already stuffed garage, it is time they either found that hoped for good home, or if nobody wants them, get recycled.

As the title says, I tried to send you a PM, but the interface said your inbox was full, and could not accept a message until you had cleared some out.
