Does anyone else have this?
Corrosion scabs. A few under the o/s/r wheel arch and some around the boot seal. I removed the boot seal today for a good clean.
Polishing has removed most of the discolouring around the boot seal.

Touch wood not so much as a bubble. I removed the wheels and wheel arch liners at the weekend. Then I cleaned and rust proofed the arches. That is a job that I feel is strongly worth doing. You can get access to the lip of the arch and clear out all the mud and rubbish.

None on mine Phil after 125,000 odd miles. 2005 Model.
As it happens was checking all car at weekend. (and sorting out digital tuner) Did find one small rust mark on door* and another on roof (stone chip) * Will post up photo of that as its in unusual place. Last edited by JohnDotCom; 15th June 2009 at 22:06.. Reason: Spelling |

Surely I haven't managed to find the only rusty facelift Rover 75?! Only done 21000 miles. The actual body bits you can see are perfect. Not so much as a swirl mark.

No not yet.. I recon the last owner of your car wasnt as fussy cleaning behind the wheel arches. With such low mileage it may have been standing for some time with crud and winter salt built up in there.. Probably just needs a good clean with T-Cut and a polish, then a regular clean
