Do you mean the main PCB? I have a Japan one I could convert with that PCB and the buttons.

EDIT: no, that's a Symphony. Sorry!

Chris - how did you separate the Harmony fascia from the actual unit behind?

There are four T9 Torx screws but even if they're removed the two parts don't separate.

Coo ... it so long ago , well it is for me .. but there are quite a few torx screws to remove and you nearly have to dismantle the radio to get the fascia off. can't be much more specific as I've binned all the odd bits now.
I think you have to get the whole front with PCb and display out then you can get at the screws fixing the fascia to the PCB and brackets, please bear this is from memory , and well its a bit old and duff!

Found it Chris - two more Torx T9s under the top cover of the unit, plus the ribbon connector from unit to buttons.

Thats the ones... rip it all out.

You may find that once you've "carefully" chopped out the rectangle hole it all goes a bit bendy. esp in the corners

I re-enforced mine with a bit of glassfibre sheet I had lying about but metal will do . I stuck mine on with some of that hard glass fibre bridging paste.

You could just leave it but I'm just fussy .

If you do use that sticky old stuff .. my tip for general moulding .. is mix a bit of G/F tear up a bit of thin carrier bag , plop the dolop of G/Fibre in the middle and then stick it where ever and use your fingers to smooth it out you can then get a pretty good finish, keep your fingers clean and negate the need for much sanding.
But on the front face its down to careful smoothing and sanding. takes a while to get it right. especially as it will be " right inyour face" for the rest of its life.
So no imperfections !!!!

I've done mine at least 5 times, mostly down to me being impatient , and not waiting long enough for one paint layer to harden and/or too heavy a next coat.

regards

Chris
