Ian that will teach you to be helpful! Were you thinking about an airbag not being just any modification but removal of a critical safety system? I do hope the OP writes up the full story about his insurance claim if he should ever be unfortunate enough to hurt his nose or forehead during an accident. |

Apart from the strange idea of a 75/P6 hybrid steering wheel, I'm still curious how you intend to 'bypass' the airbag light for MOT?

I only asked a question chaps.
You clearly don't like the idea, which is fair enough. I suggest you don't do it :-) I remember now why I rarely come on here...

I don't think your post was so bad, except you answered a question no-one was asking. butl IMO MSS capped the globe with "I do hope the OP writes up the full story about his insurance claim if he should ever be unfortunate enough to hurt his nose or forehead during an accident." I mean, what? really? that's a useful contribution?

1. Do not think the point being made about the safety and insurance aspects is relevant and to the point? 2. If you do, do you have a more effective way of making it? If the response to #2 is non-negative, please go for it. |

The insurance aspect point was already made. And whilst arguably relevant didn't address the query of the OP. There's always a 'non-negative' (i.e. 'positive') way of making any point without coming across as openly hostile, derisory and - yes - negative as you did. The point had already been made. No need to repeat it. let alone sound as if you're wishing bad happening on the original poster. Btw no-one calls me 'sir' - that just makes you come across as sarcastic/pompus/hostile/overly formal - especially in a forum where everyone has their 'handle' that you could use to address them with in a more friendly way.
