Ah, steam locos. Your front is baking hot and your back is cold. That looks like a Black Five, fired a couple of them including one from Edinburgh to Newcastle coming back from a season on the West Highland line. Steam locos had a blanket speed restriction of 75mph, we were 90-95 before the inspector travelling with us had a word in the driver’s ear.
