Default KV6 inlet manifold gaskets which way round?

On the lower inlet manifold gaskets on the KV6 one side is shinier than the other. Does the shiney surface sit against the head or the manifold?

I once read that there is a right and wrong way for these.

I don't think there is Ash because the same part number fits both banks.

Hmmm, I am sure I read it on here thats all.

I have slow coolant loss and some mayo under the oil cap on my v6. Sometimes on cold start it starts and runs fine for a couple of seconds and then it misfires for a couple of seconds before clearing and running fine again.
