Are clips available?
Had a drip inside the rear of the tourer from the nuts holding the chrome strip. When trying to remove the nuts, not surprised that the little bolt just spinning as it has broken away from the clip in the strip. Are they available anywhere, or has anyone devised a way to replace the strip without them? Thanks for any advice.

Do you see the required part on the Rimmer drawings?

Its attached to the strip normally but if you put a little epoxy resin on them its enough to hold them there in the chrome strip

You need to know anyway to get the best out of the forum. EDIT: I found the old iPad and logged in with that. When I started messing with an image, there was a popup message suggesting I check out the Tapatalk app for uploading images. Maybe read through that for more. Alternatively, see Section 3 here, which tells you how to copy/paste images from one place to another eg the forum. ive made my own clips using a stainless steel bolt same size as the factory one, got a small bit of nylon (used the head of one of those nylon wall plugs) pushed the thread through the hole, ground the nylon until it slid into the chrome strip
all sorted. |
