I am wondering if DVLA have aproblem or is this sort of fraud more common than we may think. The reason for thinking this because there is a bright yellow ZS on ebay that the listing says is MOT's until:-

MOT Expiry: 10/2016

Yet DVLA says it expired on May 20th 2016. The vendor has not repsoned to my question asking if this is a mistake nor confirming when the MOT expires.

That is how it came to light on the Yellow ZS .................... a DVLA MOT history check.

First rule - use the DVLA checker even before viewing the car!
Second rule, HPI check if it's anything more than a £100 banger. You don't want to spend £2,000 on a nice 75 to find it's been a Cat C write-off and you didn't know.

There's nothing wrong with a Cat C / D car, but it's something the price should account for, and something your insurance company will want to know too.

Default No mot on mg ztt

Advert is no longer on gumtree, hope someone hasn't bought it without doing checks as anyone could print a dodgy mot?

May be worth reporting any suspicions you have?

In fairness only a fool would buy a car without checking the paperwork to see if it has a valid mot. Maybe the dealer is going to mot the car once sold?
Its good advice to check mot history as you can see if its a lemon or not like the yellow ZS for sale. (That looks like a lemon!)
