Spot on JDC (as usual)
Scarbs, the Mark II Rover Sat Nav looks like this: And the later Mark III unit looks like this: As far as I can tell, Rover Sat Nav's use the orange / grey colour scheme (like the pictures I have posted in this thread) whereas the BMW versions use blue over a black background: |

The only slight fly in the ointment is that the one they supplied needs the black pin and white pin swapping over as it's the one for the Landrover which is slightly different - this I'm sure is a doddle to do, but I hadn't got round to doing it yet. Picture below shows the correct wiring (Jontie's lead) on the left, and the spare on the right. It's available if you're interested, or I can post up the details of the I.C.E shop who I'm sure will be able to get more. |

What about pictures???
Hi Guy's,
Well done Reebs ! Lot's of info posted there! I'm delighted you found a supplier for the lead. I spent a great deal of time trying (including Tyco) without any joy. Now, a question for you and Pedro; Do you have any pictures on your ipod? If so, will they come on the monitor? It's just a thought, I don't have any on mine but I wonder..... Regards

Hi Paul,
Excellent "how to". Very detailed and efficient. Well done!!! Any thoughts on my question about pictures? I wonder if we'd need another interface of some sort or could we use the tv module or would we need either? What does the intravee use to convert thre ID3 tags? Regards John

Hi Eric,
That looks interesting ! The sort of thing I was thinking of was running a slide show of photo's. That seems to fit the bill but far more than i would pay. No doubt as these thing progress they will become more available and cheaper as the music interfaces have. Thank you very much for the info Eric!

Had I known about it earlier I would maybe have went for one but I have bought myself a0 CIS-IBUS interface which allows to integrate VGA out from a PC into the Hi Line system. That route however requires a lot of tweaking, and testing as I have learned. I will let you guys know how it goes - probably sometime this summer.

Suddenly, the desirability of the Hi Line optioned cars has therefore gone up then
I've never used the TV bit but I'll certainly be using it in Ipod mode!
