Leather Seats
Well now ive got to the bottom of a very long strung out problem with my cdti tourer its time to sort the leather interior. Its a nasty shade beige with dirt but no rips or tares so good for re colouring in a lighter shade of cream with red piping and cream suede door cards together with red carpet which is already installed. If I can figure out how to post pics I will post up the results of my labour providing it goes to plan.

vanish soap bar is your best friend with cream leather seat, cost about £1.00 from pound stretcher, or a couple of quid from Tesco, Asda, luke warm water, a soft nail brush scrub the seats and wipe of with a damp cloth, then use a dry cloth, they will come up like new. Leather balm or balsam will then protect and nourish them

Hey cheers for the tip Arctic, but they were sandstone beige and although ive cleaned them before with exactly what you described but I think I used baking soda which worked very well the colour always looked dirty. Well four coats last night and I think a final coat today and totally transformed to light cream after cleaning with a light sanding all over.

The piping still needs a lot of work - post some more pics when you’ve done What are you planning on putting on top of the colour, any sort of protector? Just for info, nourishing creams cant ‘nourish’ the leather in our cars, it’s impossible, but I can understand why people want to apply it.
