How about this one, the self height adjusting seatbelts, as the seat moves back, the seatbelt goes higher, forwards it comes lower.

Oh, and another, speed related volume on the stereo. When you increase your speed, the radio / CD will turn itself up a few db to compensate for the increased road / engine noise. When you slow down, it reverts back. The amount of off set can be adjusted in the service menu. This works on the High Line stereo and the Symphony, and I think for the Harmony radio too.

Just the Symphony and the Hi Line system have the SDVC, and then, only the factory fit systems.

SDVC - How to set please? I can't remember seeing this in the highline manual. Really would make the term 'loudness pedal' ring true.

Symphony Head Unit

The Symphony service mode is accessed by switching the unit on and, within eight seconds, pressing and holding the MAN button for eight seconds. When the unit enters service mode it automatically tunes to the last used radio station.

The following features can be accessed in the service mode:

1. Serial number (SN)

2 Software version (SV)

3 AVC (auto volume control) setting (GAL setting 1 to 4 with 4 highest) use preset buttons 1 - 4 to select

5 Frequency and field strength quality (for preset stations on all wavebands) F00 weakest to F15 strongest. Use waveband and preset buttons to view

High line/navigation

The service mode is accessed by switching ‘on’ the radio unit using the
right hand rotary control and within eight seconds press and hold the right hand side of the
'TP' button for a minimum of eight seconds. Using the radio seek up/tape forward button (>)
select the required option from the list in the display. From there you can change the settings in
the list below.

1. Displays the serial number.

2. Displays the software version.

3. Displays the AVC setting in a range from GAL 1 to GAL 6. (default value is GAL 1 the remaining numbers, GAL 2 to GAL 6, are used to provide differing levels of output). Selecting the levels is done by pressing the station preset buttons one to six.

4. Displays the frequency, programme service (PS) name, field strength, field quality and programme information (PI), it is possible to check out each of the preset stations by using the appropriate preset buttons and the frequency selector button (AM/FM button).
The field strength is shown as F—, where F00 is the weakest signal and F15 being the strongest signal.
The quality is shown as Q—, with Q00 being the lowest quality and Q15 being the best quality.

5. Displays the seek level as either a one or a two. This is adjusted using preset buttons one and two.

6. Displays the TP volume. This can be adjusted using preset buttons one and two to adjust the TP volume between –9 and +9.

To exit service mode switch the unit 'off'.

So I thought I knew everything about the 75's, Not So Jimmy !

We had our diesel for almost 4 years before I found out about the FBH, I often wondered what the whirring sound was on cold nights. It was much later before I discovered the intelligent wipers.

On reading this topic I have just found out about the glove box opening wider, the rear seat belt covers and the boot floor liner retaining clip.

That's the power of this forum.

Finally to the poster who mentions the voice activation, I actually sold an accessory which coupled onto an existing car alarm which when activated/ de-activated would sound "System Armed / System Disarmed" and if the vehicle was simply bumped lightly it would sound "Protected by Security Device Stand Back" You could adjust sensitivity down to a very light touch anywhere on the car to trigger it.

I still have this fitted to my SD1 and had many pleasurable moments demonstrating it over the years including to one Police patrol who stopped me for not wearing a seat belt. He let me off with a warning after my demo.

On one evening a colleague of my missus accidentally bumped our car mirror with her elbow in the hospital car park triggering the American voice ordering her to stand back. She almost died with fright.

I wonder if this product still survives today.

I had the exact same cobra alarm on my T5 .. in fact still do
