powerfold wiring crossbody loom
i'm trying to retrofit powerfold mirrors to my car, and people say you can look undearneath the steering wheel area to see the wiring and if it has the relevant cabling. I've looked and I'm not sure what I'm looking at. Can anyone tell me from this picture what cluster of wires is the ones I'm after, or better still from this photo if they can spot the ones I need? i know it is said to be orange and orange/red. I can see a few candidates assuming i'm looking at the right bundle?
Also does anyone have pictures of the infamous door connector at both body and door side that so often requires doors to come off to thread cables through? i'm really having trouble visualising what is required. I see a rubber conduit beginning half way down the front door and curls upwards and across into the door jamb, so I assume the cables that lead off the powerfold drivers mirror need to go inside the door skin, down and through that , be worked around the inside of conduit into where it meets the body of the car. But where are the connectors themselves and how many are there? Are there 1 inside the door frame at the bottom on the leading most edge of the hinge, and is there one inside the car footwell area? Pics would be a fantastic help!

Few pictures below, if you have the wires to the connector block then you don't need to feed any across the car.
You could tell if the wires are present from the loom you have pictured but even if you find out one way or another it won't help you to do the job unless you are not bothering if you don't have the wires to the doors If the wires are not there then you need to take wires across the inside of the car to the other mirror but you need to take the doors off anyway to do the job so go for it and just be prepared to run the extra wires if you need to The conduit you refer to has to have wires passed through as you thought but with the doors off its quite an easy task http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=104710 And here http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=42867

This the wring loom from the door post, drivers side. If you look under the steering wheel and look to the right where the loom goes to the door post, a little awkward, but you shoud see the orange wires if they are there. Mines a 2004 facelift and they were present.

thanks. still I don't have a powerfold mirror for the passenger side, but once I have that sorted out, and I'm trying hard to get one reconstituted from broken bits, then I will see where I am.
edit**** had a look already at this before, my pic above is what i saw. I can't work out your pic - where is that taken from please? I cannot see for the life of me where I'm supposed to be looking

Then you just need the mirrors switches and these retro fit wires rather than changing the whole door looms
