Default Openreach fibre cable and 50v

From memory, the copper cable Openreach/BT used, to get the telephone line to houses, carried 50v to operate the phone.
Nowadays, I suspect most phones run from the mains power

If you have Broadband over copper wires do you still get the 50v?
If you have part of your phone line as fibre with or without Broadband, do you get the 50v?

Thank you

Yes!

Yes, but the usual supply is still there from BT

We have fibre to the BT box down the road, then copper - we still have the same voltages as before, but with 40Mb connection. Basically the FTTC makes no difference at all, we still have what we had in the 1960's at the phone socket.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.
