Löfven is a politician with downward ratings and so must be seen to be taking action, though can’t complete with Boris’ frequent changes. Change of heart? - more like impulsive behaviour as no-one has specified when these peak times of public transport occur (to be announced sometime in January). Bus companies are supposed to supply face masks to those without one, but the drivers have no legal right to refuse transportation. The drivers are cocooned up front, the front doors are sealed, no bus passes checked, so they can’t hand any masks out - in short, a poorly thought out decision by Löfven which leaves everyone scrambling to make sense of his haste.

Very similar to Jimmie Åkesson, leader of the right wing Sweden Democrats and the only party to advocate the use of face masks - just one tiny problem: he’s yet to be seen wearing one.

Do you believe that if we get it down to zero that the virus will never return? The vaccine is claiming 95% effective = approx 2.75mn folk it’s not going to work for not accounting for future mutations. It really is like trying to stop the tide coming in

Think the powers that be need to look at the many multi national studies into Ivermectin for treatment and prevention of the Virus.

Studies have found that it prevents contracting the disease and can significantly reduce the effects of the virus in those already infected.
It's cheap effective and known to be safe.

At the same time the adults have also buried their head in the sand of that beach, truly concerning to level headed beings

Well, we did see this coming. A friend of mine picked up the virus with one trip to Aldi, so it seems. Luckily a mild dose compared to many. A former work colleague has contracted it but after being rather blase about precautions. Then, because she was fed up, went back to work though felt exhausted; luckily I don't have to see her.

This will go now to beyond Easter, stay safe. For those who think it b/s, pop into A & E.

It is very easy.
Look at total number of people dying.
You can do it here:
https://www.euromomo.eu/graphs-and-maps
This is for week 52, so the data is almost up to date.
Go to the graph for UK, and you can clearly see that the mortality at the moment is normal, and far below what it was in say same period 2018.
This is for week 52, so the data is almost up to date.

These figures include all people dying from all causes! So you really can't fiddle much - or at all.

The restrictions placed on us all has greatly reduced the opportunity to risk health, be it through individual activity or activities that affect others. One only has to think of how many are affected by everybody driving vehicles about; reduced stress, reduced accidents. The only increase apart from the virus, must be those affected by abuse and mental stress, there are not many who could put up with me for every minute of the day, and some would have "been at each others throats" before all this.

Cool

We have allowed this thread to continue, however if the playground antics continue it will get closed. There are experts and ‘experts’ in all walks of life.
Facts that you can believe and facts you can ignore.

We have members who work in the NHS and private care plus those that work in the care industry.

At the end of the day we are a car club.

It is of no use arguing with you. Your communist training of selecting something arbitrary and arguing based on that is not something I would even dream of going into.
I stated two things!

1. There is no excessive mortality at the moment based on figures from week 52.
2. the figures in 2018 during the same time were higher.

Both can be read from this graph.

And I will leave it at that.

But maybe pointing out facts is too much?
