Steve, I've taken the liberty of breaking down your last post into salient sentences, without removal of any of the original text, so as not to take out of context anything you or I might have to say on the matter.

Surely under the current circumstances a more chivalrous approach could be.... "make a list of what we need my dear, you put your feet up and I'll pop out and do the shopping today" instead of making your better half trudge around Tesco with a gammy knee?

Indeed front line staff need to be immunised along with the elderly and vulnerable as priority, and especially front line staff who work with the elderly.

Under 15 years old and the risk to the child is so infinitesimally small that the need to immunise this age group should surely be last in the line up, but those dealing with the educational needs of said children need to feel safe, and have the right to any reasonable protection a vaccine administered might afford them.

So do a lot of things, driving a car, drinking, smoking, breathing, eating, living etc.

The reality is at least 90% of people will experience Covid without knowing they have been exposed, not my figures, but that of those conducting the program of study into Covid and it's after effects upon recovered Covid patients in which I'm currently participating.

Two separate bloods taken in todays hospital appointment, along with a pint of blood donated, let's see how my immunity is holding up after nine months.

I drive to the shops and do the shopping on my own.--( Is doing the shopping beneath you ? )--You sent your wife out with a bad knee ?? Incredible !!

I'm 83 so why shouldn't I get some protection too ?-- I don't want to catch the virus or bring it home to my wife.

Last but not least, so does influenza.

My wife does not trust me to go shopping, apparently I come back with the stuff I would like rather than the stuff we need. The case of Leffe just fell in the trolley the last time I went on my own.

Seriously she is OK walking but struggles with the clutch pedal hence the reason for me driving.
