Default Bottom dash panel stays lit

Hi all. I have a problem with my 75 2.5 V6, that when the engine is turned off keys removed, and car locked, the bottom dash panel (Odometer, Ext Temp, and trip) stays on. The alarm light is flashing as normal. Even after overnight parking, they are still lit!
I have also noticed that when under way, if I press the end of the stalk for the trip computer nothing comes up on the dash, but if I select it on the stereo it shows all the detail.
Anybody know what may be causing this? Is there a simple fix? The car drives normally.
Kind regards

Disconnect the battery negative for 30 minutes and try again. Make sure you have the radio code first or disable the code before disconnecting the battery. Let us know if it's a cure or otherwise

Thanks for the swift reply.
I will try that later when the wife gets back with the car.

Thumbs up

Thanks Murphyv310. Disconnecting battery and leaving for half an hour cured the fault. Thanks again.
