Default analogue to digital

hi all i have been reading posts about the television and replacing the analogue box with a BMW digital one so i purchased on second hand fitted it still no tv is there something else i need to do any suggestions appreciated (within reason)

Did you tune it? I did the same thing, and all good. Sorry, I know that doesn't help, but mine really was a plug and play swap over, and then setting the correct country, and running the setup for tuning in the stations which automatically stores them as a preset channel.

As the Lear Hybrid tuner uses existing aerials located in the window, it’s worth checking if these aren’t damaged as they can break.
Any rust or corrosion on the plugs?

Which model did you buy? There are several versions of it

i will check aerials on the windows will have tocheck what model it is i just seen it on eBay thanks

There are two types of BMW TV modules (covered by quite a number of part numbers - there is a list somewhere) but if you want to receive digital TV then you need any BMW module that has 'Hybrid' in the module description otherwise the module will only be compatible with analogue TV (which I don't believe is any longer available).
If you have retrofitted a BMW bordmonitor (head) unit then the analogue version(s) of the TV module will give you 16:9 (widescreen) for your satellite navigation and other display features but TV needs to have a Hybrid (digital) module.
