Public Apology
Thought I better do the right thing and publicly apologise to certain customers of mine, although the ones concerned I will message privately anyway.
I had agreed to purchase a members car on here to break. A deal was struck, hands were shaken, terms were agreed. I had intended to collect the car this week and commence breaking. On this basis I had given first refusal/promised certain parts (subject to suitable condition upon removal etc.) to some members on here. Today I receive a message from the seller telling me that they have decided to sell the car to someone else. Shortly after the sale had been agreed the first time, I received a message telling me he was pulling out of the sale as he didn't want the car to be broken, I said fair enough and that was the end of it as far as I was concerned. Shortly after that I received another message saying I CAN come and get the car to break, which I agreed to do. Now they have changed their mind again and are selling it to someone else. I am not in the habit of letting people down, I try my hardest not to, although in the course of business unfortunately it is sometimes unavoidable due to circumstances beyond my control. I was undecided whether to post this or not, to some people this may seem a trivial matter not worth mentioning, but I feel the need to vent my frustration. Knowing I had commited to buying this particular car, I had turned down other good cars for breaking. Being messed about like this makes me so angry, especially when I am trying to run a small honest business and support a family. So again, to my customers who I had promised certain parts to, please accept my apologies and I hope you understand why I have to let you down on this occasion. |

Tom, those people that have dealt with you in the past know that you are a straight forward guy that does a lot for members who are trying to keep their cars on the road.
No one will think ill of you because other people do not keep their word. Last edited by another_clean_sheet; 24th April 2016 at 16:19.. Reason: Spelling |

Despicable behaviour, I may not be perfect, but don't do this changing my mind as I draw breath to the detriment of others.
Sorry to hear of this, and hope that there was a pretty good reason for this indecisive move that has now concluded in a negative fashion/outcome to you and family. I don't know why this happens to the good guys, and the less than good guys seem to always be better off. For you Tom - you have always been a decent guy towards me and my group, and assume the treatment of others is broadly similar. Hope we will continue to trade as best we can after this blow. Hope the week improves for you. Regards to you and yours. JohnH. |

Yes ....It was me ....I am a scumbag who should be disowned by the club !!!
I also apologise to all those that were going to get bits from the carcase of my car . But it is now being saved by someone who shall remain nameless . Sorry to Tom . It was not planned . It had been sold for exactly the same amount as Tom was going to get it for . But again .....I am the worst scumbag around . I bid you a dieu. |

This is a thread of the upmost honesty from both sides. I can understand Toms frustration but also Pauls predicament concerning his car.
I am sure none of us would willing break a car and try our best to ensure this did not happen even though we all depend on the 'fallen cars' to ensure the longevity of our own. this is a situation with no winners . |
