This meet is going to be fairly large, 20 folks and 12 cars if everyone turns up.
Have added Jeff, Gerry + Crew and Planenut to the list.
Ugly Duckling have been advised of increased numbers. See you all tomorrow, bring your rain gear. Strong possibility we can stay warm in the Pub until 11.45, prior to lunchtime rush.

Nice get together this morning though my arrival got me "pretty steamed up", with possible Exhaust Manifold Failure, well that's what I'm leaning toward.

The weather was against us for standing outside, so I think it reduced attendance and caused a few to depart earlier than normal; great to see everybody.

I apologize for not being too chatty what with working out a plan and a route back home giving opportunities to examine the suspect coolant leak.

That said, gasket ordered and should be at the supplier late tomorrow morning and hopefully I can start on it. I will pop out later today to apply some penetrating fluid to the bolts.

Thank you Peter, for the function, and to you and others, thanks for the offers of help.

Glad you got back ok. Fingers crossed it's "just" the manifold gasket.

As usual your photo makes my car look much better than real life!

Glad that Planenut made it back ok. I have had 4 cars with K series engines from 1100 to 1800 cc and all of them have had HGF so I sympathise

Thanks John; latest update is that as I suspected not HGF but EMG area. Wait for this...... I have never had the manifold off on this car, nor more to the point, checked the security of it. I found out of the five bolts/nuts/studs three were loose and one was missing - doh! Am purchasing new studs today and collecting new EMG which will be done this week. Will also take the opportunity to check the block studs for tightness.
