I had it from new; one oil change i found part of one of the bolts that kept the 2 halves of the crank shaft together in the sump! Wasnt and different once I had replaced it.

Well fate seems to have worked in my favour as it’s now in my ownership after it’s long journey north. It’s pretty much original and unmolested. However I’m already going through various parts lists and identifying components that I want to improve or renovate. Beginning with the starter motor and battery cable upgrades.

Default Remember...

In all of this discussion about British bikes, who has or had a Hesketh? My old boss's dad worked at the factory and I have some pictures somewhere. My old boss got me some stuff including a Hesketh logo'd paddock jacket which got the back torn out from a spill over the bars, the one my boss had was given away by him not long ago and I could have cried when I found out.

Good luck although they always reckoned the electric start worked if the battery was in A1 condition and Jupiter was in the ascendance

For parts, are you familiar with RGM in Cumbria?
