Had the belts done (yesterday) on the 2.5 V6 by a local guy who has done a few before. Got the Timing Belt Kit + Water Pump from DMGRS and had this guy fit them. Well pleased. Cost me £460 in total and a good job done all round. He didn't have to disturb the cam shaft seals
Long (ish) 50 mile test drive today all town driving with digital temp set. Ran between 90 and 94 deg rising to a max of 97 deg when stopped at lights etc.

So I now have a new thermostat, fitted by Trikey recently,Belts and water pump all done. Exhaust with centre and rear boxes. New manifold fitted before I bought the car in 2013, all fans and vis motors working fine. I'm really loving the car.

Found a guy with a 4 post lift who is going to under seal it with a Schutz/Waxoyl mix next Tuesday. All I need to do then is do the cavities with Dynax S50 before winter.

i'm a bit sad in the fact that i always remove the wheels at home and take them in in the back of the other car, then stop and check the pressures again at the same air pump we use all the time

may be a bit excessive but with a set of custom painted wheels and bad previous experiences its better to be safe than sorry

I just discovered that my engine number matches with the info the specialists could find on my car.
Nothing major, or very interesting and it changes nothing, but I still thought it was a positive something .

Gonna check the tire pressure tonight and do a final check on all the fluids and give her a wash tomorrow morning. Then she'll be ready to drive us all the way to the UK .

Default It's only a fan

Nothing dramatic in itself, but finally have both speeds of the cooling fan working correctly when called for.

Having gone through no speeds, high only under various conditions, high and low under various condition to high and low at the right time!

I'd better start putting her back together tomorrow although the "missing front" look is starting to grow on me but it does leave the rad a little exposed

Yes it is. I have been dealing with them for a long time. If you want your wheels four wheel alignment checked. He does it for nothing. Only charges if he has to use the spanners to alter them. Good honest bloke. Good prices on tyres also.

Thats one of the reasons when you find a good guy, and trust him, it's worth its weight in gold to you, and for peace of mind.
