Default 2022 Motor Shows in Kent (South East Area)

As per title, there are two coming up, and a third awaiting confirmation of date.

All are run by Chris West, under the name of “Classic Music & Motors” see their web site for more details.

Deal - Saturday 28th May
Sandwich - Sunday 10th July
Canterbury – Date TBA

These appear to be aimed at a Family Day Out audience, with Live Music and Static Car Displays as the main draw. Having said that, these seem to have been big events, that are now returning after Covid forced shutdowns.

One difference to other car shows, is that all vehicles are expected to remain until the 4.00pm close, however, pre-arrangement can be made for early departures (escorted by a steward)

I have been in touch with Chris, and we can have a dedicated area, gazeebo, flags etc.

Large clubs can do a joint booking, and amongst the testimonials on their web site is one from the JEC, which I assume to be the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club.

I have not been to any of these shows myself, but if any members have, then a quick comment on them would be appreciated.

If interested, please indicate, on this forum as:-

1. Interested in Deal
2. Interested in Sandwich
3. Interested in Canterbury
4. Interested in all the above

Example, 1 & 3, or 2 etc.
I will then take things forward, as appropriate.

Thank you

Mike

PS There are no 2022 dates yet announced for the very good Wrotham Steam Fair, so I assume it is off again for this year.

I'm interested possibly all of them, theres a car show At Bodiam in August that is run by a local charity, its next to the castle, and of course the Steam Railway, i have their details somewhere and will post it up nearer the date. edate: been looking at their webb site, and last years, which was cancelled was in June, so possibly will be in June I've emailed them , as i am on their mailing list from when i was an local organiser for the kent kit car club, to get a date and to enquire if our cars are concidered as acceptable by them,

Bodiam is the end of the line for the Tenterden Railway, which was on our list of possibles, before Covid.

The tickets are Tenderden - Bodiam - Tenterden.

Not sure if you can book for the other way, but maybe you can, to support Bodiam days

Mike

Yes you can book the other way from Bodiam, in fact from any of the manned stations, its a line I am very familiar with, i used to work there many years ago, tenterden is best for parking, but its only a very short walk from the car show site to the station, and your right next door to the castle, if that's your thing, a round trip from Bodiam to Tenterden and back should take about 2 hours, if you want to combine the car show with a train ride,

Thanks for update.

To avoid confusion, when you get the date, be it June or August, please post it under a separate thread, within the South East section.

Thanks

Mike
