You cant win! I sow seeds in heated propagators with the best quality seed compost available & growing conditions & they do next to nowt The extra seeds/seedlings I had left over from sowing were put in some old cabinet drawers as all my plant pots are still stored away & filled with compost/soil & covered by a pane of glass in the greenhouse, Yep those are doing great

Morning all.

How was your weekend and what are you looking forward to?

Many of you realised it was my birthday on Saturday.

Went to see a Fleetwood Mac tribute band and pretty good they were too.

Discovered that SWMBO's bomb proof Mazda has a duff shock on the way there after picking up brother & sister in law. Normally there's only one person in the car and it looks fairly easy to fix. In fairness she's on 116K and 12 years old and I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of non service items that have needed replacing.

Cloudy but bright here. Dry and chilly at 6 degrees.

Need to cut some more wood for the fire.

Have a good day.

Excuse the rant but . . . . bl00dy NHS! Yet again they're trying to get me to go to the hospital down in Haddington (for a procedure I don't even think is necessary ). Haddington is a major PITA to get to, dunno how many times I've told them that, two buses, the 2nd is a very infrequent service (would have to get there at 07:30 for an 08:15 appointment!) and doesn't even get you to the hospital, you have a 20 minute walk from the nearest bus stop. Even if the car was on the road parking is non existent (even warns you in the letter), whole place is a building site, has been for a while.

Phoned up and got another appointment at the Royal which is a hell of a lot easier to get to.

We've got such a place in Bolton The university hospital in the centre where they try to send Mam for her appointments but I tell them no, Most of the appointments can be done over the phone, They're not physical appointments but they still try to send her there, Parking is zero at any time of day & I've told them I'm not pushing Mam across Bolton in a wheelchair from the public car parks.

Looks like we'll be having a vegan tea tonight! Missus won a competition with 'Grubby' a company that sends out plant based recipe kits with all the ingrdients & recipe cards. A box arrived this morning with two different meals, Good quality veg I must say. Why she cant do competitions with the Bury black pudding company or the Danish bacon company I don't know

I'm in East Lothian, Haddington is in East Lothian so, presumably, they put two and two together and make five! The hospital in Haddington is about ten miles, two busses and a 20 minute walk which I don't really fancy as the procedure I'm going for is part of the investigation into why I've no energy (no energy and they want me to walk for 20 minutes!) plus I'm not allowed to eat/drink beforehand.
