You do know that Ragnar's wife and your shield-maiden's namesake was in fact Lagertha, don't you? Or maybe not..? 😬🤣

Painted the calipers on the VW then decided to fit the special components thermostat that's been sitting in the garage for ages.

All went well,no leaks, running up to temperature, got to 82 degrees and the brand new hose clip decided to pop off.
Badly made cheap .......
Gave up ,shut the bonnet, and went back indoors

Continuing the de-rust clearup underneath the tourer, mostly surface rust so far although the rear nearside valance (underneath the bumper and behind wheel arch) literally crumbled in my hands whilst the offside one is solid except one small rust hole! Also managed to shear off both tow bar bolts whilst trying to remove the ball as I was using the wire brush on the grinder. These are huge bolts so i was amazed they broke so 'easily' with the breaker bar. Replacements ordered!! Happy Jubilee all

Default Holiday prep.

Today I checked all levels, washed, waxed and leathered off the body, cleaned all the door shuts, treated all the trims with Britemax (including the mudflaps), polished the headlights, hoovered the interior, cleaned the seats, dash and door trims, then cleaned all the windows on the tourer before our tour of Cornwall starting Saturday.
Looking good now, but the ZT-T looks a little forlorn, will have to give it some love when we get back home.

Today I took my ZT for a wee blast down some country roads.

I enjoyed it

Pollen filter change

But lost one of the oval trim clips in the process...

Polished the 260's headlights, and removed more cobwebs ready for a local show tommorow and Haynes Breakfast on Sunday
