Default Diesel - Starter Motor Removal.

Hello all.
Since having my car 4 momths ago, I have had the odd non starting problem.
You turn the key....`click`...nothing.
It will start after a few attempts.
At first I thought it was a battery problem or me not using the fob right.
Anyways.....after using the search button I have checked the spade connector ect...cleaned it up made sure a good contact...checked the battery supply....everything seems good.
The previous owner had this happen and bought a solenoid repair kit...which he kindly gave me when I got the car of him (i forgot about it ?). He had no more problems and put it down to the battery.
Now I have run the car for over 3 months and its been fine..untill last week, and again today.
So....methinks I`ll whip the starter motor off and fit the new solenoid kit.
After removing the cover and air inlet....I think my starter motor is only being held on by one bolt !!
This is the one that has the battery negative cable to it.
The one below....I think....is not there !!!
To make things worse I cannot budge the top bolt with my 3/8 drive socket kit.
Will bring something home from work to see if I can get more ommph onto it.
Can anyone look at the pics below and confirm their should be a bolt in the first 2 pics......the 3rd pic is of the top bolt that I can`t release.
Will bring home a bigger torque wrench and a 1/2 drive to see if that moves it.....
Thoughts please....?

So lookin` at that...would you say I am missing the lower bolt, which should perhaps have a nut and washer ?

Unhappy

Hi,
Im new to the site and to the joys of owning a MG ZTT.
Ive owned it for 6 months and have had the clutch master go and now it will not start, it just clicks!!! So I've brought a new starter and was going to change it today......But..............
I to can only see one bolt to my Starter motor. This is the top one and goes through the starter motor into the bell housing.
Does the lower 2nd bolt go through the bell housing into the motor?

Can some one put me out of my misery!!
