I'm always surprised when people say, "I'd have it if it wasn't for the distance."This is a tiny island we live on and a few hours travelling for the right car is all part of the adventure of finding it (IMO).

It's been a long time since I bought a car in my home town. The TF came from Bradford, ZT in Ayrshire and one from Argyle, an MGF from Edingurgh, another in Ayrshire and I helped a mate collect a TF when he bought it in Essex.

I think buyers need to be prepared to travel for the right car.

Anyway, Im now thinking I dont want H20 FRA to sell so that Francoh still brings it along to the meets next year but thats just me being selfish. lol.

I couldn't agree more.

Two hundred plus miles each way to Kent to view for mine, and then the same again to collect.I loved the anticipation of both journeys and don't regret it for one minute

Ditto - I've been over to Eire a couple of times. Both were great experiences, although the last time was in the January 2010 blizzard, leaving home for Bristol Airport at 0700 and getting back at 0500 the next day!
