Default FBH problem

I decided to use my fbh that has not been used for ages. Pressed the remote fob and nothing, so tried a new battery and nothing. The guy in the car shop got out a gadget that picks up the radio signal and said the fob was not sending a signal.
Not done anything to it since last year when used last ,as i took it off my keyring and put in the draw.
Any ideas

Hi Frank
Synchronising the handset needs to be done if the signal is lost, this can happen if the car battery goes flat, or as been removed for any reason over a long period of time.

You will need to reprogram the handset, to do this follow this instruction below.

Disconnect the negative lead on the car battery for a minimum of 5 seconds.

Reconnect the negative lead, then within 2 seconds press and hold the OFF button on the fob handset for a further 2 seconds approx.

The handset indicator light should flash once to confirm the handset in now synchronised correctly, if it fails to flash repeat the procedure.

Reminder if your radio as a code please make sure you have it, or know it otherwise you will lose use of the radio.

The battery was removed to do the solonoid , as it was a pain to start (just clicking) so i bought the kit and fitted it.

Default check battery polarity!

I was amazed to see that the Webasto remote handset needs two barrettes but they are both inserted the same way, i.e. NOT - to +

I suggest two new batteries, and check the polarity/orientation of the batteries in the fob.

Good luck!

As James says above check the batteries are the right way round, also for those that do not know it should say inside which fob you have T80 or T90, these have to be compatible with the receiver behind the passenger glove box, pic below

I dont think it is same remote as your picture. It only has one battery and the remote lights when pressed. Was working perfectly 6 months ago.
