Yeah I didn't plan on the Rover going just yet Phil but an opportunity arose where all the ducks lined up & I had to take it.

I cant afford to run two cars these days otherwise I'd have kept it on a classic car policy if I could.

I haven't crossed the 't's' or dotted the 'i's' yet so things might change.

Afternoon fellow inmates of the LCOZ. I've been missing for the last day and a half, after my flu bug, having admitted defeat in it's battle with my chest and throat, decided to attack my head instead. Cue blocked sinuses, popping ears, more output from my nose than Victoria Falls, a pain like a violent toothache in all my gums - YUK
Been dosing my self on Paracetamol, homemade raspberry gin and malt whisky - and I'm pleased to say that this afternoon I feel a whole lot better. I was at the Surgery yesterday, having a blood test to see what effect the doubling of my statins dosage has had on my cholesterol levels. The Nurse reckons that most people who contract the bug are taking between 3 and 4 weeks to finally shrug it off

I didn't exactly time it but must have been about four weeks for me.

Afternoon all, The rain finally stopped & this wind is really drying things out, I cant remember the last time I saw the decking dry

I've been sorting through some more stuff in the garage & came across this old budweiser neon sign wrapped in blankets, I bought this in the early eighties and it was old them, plugged it in & it works fine

I used to have it in the house but it so bright red at night it looks like a house of ill repute from outside

Roast chicken dinner for tea tonight.

Afternoon all

By heck Rod! you've had a lousy time with that nasty flu bug, I hope you're finally on the mend back to good health.

I can see where you’re coming from re your Rover Ian,I was in the same position myself last autumn. Although I really like the Insignia, which is the equivalent to the connoisseur spec on the Rover, it isnt a Rover ,and will never have the same appeal as the 75 did.
If I had the space to keep it as a “show car” , to just take along to club meets and shows, I would have done so, but sadly there is hardly room on the drive for the Transit and the Insignia,so that was not an option for me. I miss the individuality and vintage look of the Rover interior. One day when (if) , I get to retire, and we have room, then I will think about getting another.

Morning everyone from a wet and rainy Brecon Beacons. I'm about to have a nice cuppa read the papers and catch up on the news. No plan's for today so I won't be venturing very far. Roll on the spring

Morning Steve, just you and me in this morning so far, dry and clear here, probably cold too. Not the best for me, considering the village where I will be working today is out in the sticks, and quite high, so will likely be quite cold up there today.
