Default CDTi coughs then dies

Hey chaps.

When engine is cold and if I'm pulling out and accelerate quite hard just under 1500rpm sometimes I get a cough and engine shuts down. If I turn the key off and on again it fires up again and doesn't fail again. No EML light and I could load up TOAL to check what error it reads.

I did put some fuel injector cleaner and I think there's maybe an issue with an injector getting air or losing pressure. Could be that an injector is loose? Just wanted some views before I start to fault find.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

It could be one or more leaking injectors causing a drop in HP fuel pressure, but as you say best read the fault codes.

I've found the problem.

i have a Steinbauer/PCBox piggy back box running and one of the leads leading to an injector was peeled off. I've reinsulated it and job done. Seems like with the vibrations it would ground and the engine would cut off. It was one of those electrical gremlin nightmares that suddenly would lose power and dash die. TUrn key off and on again and it'd come back to life. No EML light or anything as such.

Thanks to my Android head unit running Torque via bluetooth to read out the error codes and finding an error that read something in the lines of 'Chassis fault', so that meant there was a short somewhere. Turns out it was at the injector electrical plugs.
