Changing kenwood head units

I've currently got the standard Kenwood tape player head unit with the changer in the boot, and was thinking of upgrading the sterio to a new kenwood unit with bluetooth adapter... like this one.... Kenwood Unit

I want to stay kenwood as i can still use the auto changer etc.. but what i want to know is, the steering controls are IR iirc using the standard receiver on the radio, will this also work with the other kenwood unit with the IR receiver on it?
