Default Front passenger side door won't open

I have just replaced the door actuator on the drivers side. What a horrible job that is.

The passenger side one won't open at all. I need to pop off the door card and try and get it open so i can replace the actuator.

Has anyone done this before? What will have broken? I have a new actuator, so will it just be that?

When mine did this recently it was the actuator that had gone. had to prise the card back far enough to get access to it. Was a pita but doable.

loosened everything off as much as poss then a bit of brute force and a lever to get the actuator to release. It wasn't pretty and my knuckles bled for a while but eventually it let go. Fortunately i didn't have to worry about damaging the old unit as Mickyboy had sent a replacement out to me promptly so had a good one to replace it.

Thanks. I have a new actuator. My worry is breaking some of the other fragile plastic connections and rods when i'm trying to get it open. Did you disconnect all these before? Also is you do it from inside the car or outside with the window down?

Window up and inside the car but isn't easy. I had already tried moving all the connections to see if that would allow me to open the door and when they didn't i disconected everything as they would only be more to get in the way. I did have the window down to ease the top of the card off from the outside though first.
